Uh-oh. There's a new sheriff in town on ABC's Big Sky, but it's not entirely clear if he'll be a good guy. General Hospital alum Sebastian Roché (ex-Jerry Jacks) has been tapped to play the recurring role of Sheriff Wagy, who could dish out more trouble than policing when he hits the canvas this spring.
Currently in the middle of its first season, Big Sky follows private detective Cassie Dewell (Kylie Bunbury) and ex-cop Jenny Hoyt (Katheryn Winnick), who join forces to search for two sisters who have been kidnapped by a truck driver on a remote highway in Montana. When they discover that these are not the only girls who have disappeared in the area, they must race against the clock to stop the killer before another woman is taken.
Roché's Sheriff Wagy is described as a "polite and parochial... small-town cop whose sense of worth is dependent on the power wielded by the badge and gun. Despite Wagy's apparent hospitality, Cassie and Jenny question his motives and efforts to obstruct their investigation at every turn."
Shared Roché on Instagram, "Been having a blast on @bigskyabc as Sheriff Wagy. He's quite the character..."
Big Sky also stars Ryan Phillippe (ex-Billy Douglas, One Life to Live), who appeared in the premiere episode and in several flashbacks throughout the season, as well as Michelle Forbes (Sonni Carrera, Guiding Light), who recently signed on in the recurring role of Margaret, a picture-perfect ranch wife who knows her place, likes to bake, and loves all of her children equally -- but scratch the surface, and there's real steel beneath.
Big Sky returns to ABC on Tuesday, April 13, at 9/8C with two episodes.
Roché took on the role of GH's Jerry in 2007 and last appeared as the character in December of 2015. Some of his other credits include The Man in the High Castle, Batwoman, Debris, Genius, The Originals, and Strange Angel.
