General Hospital fans who have been wondering what to expect when Chad Brannon returns to the ABC soap opera this month won't be kept in suspense any longer. Several details have come out regarding his reappearance in Port Charles, the first of which is that Brannon is set to hit the screen the week of March 15.
As for whether or not the actor has stepped back into the shoes of his presumed-dead character Zander Smith -- a.k.a. Cameron's (William Lipton) biological father -- or if he'll be reprising his blink-and-you-missed-him alter ego Aaron, everything points to it being Zander who will be back on the canvas.
Brannon took to social media with a first-look photo of his GH return (first shared by TV Insider) that shows him sharing an emotional moment with Lipton, who he refers to as his on-screen son.
"Excited for this! Had an incredible time working with @williamlipton!" he wrote. "Watch out for this kind and talented guy... His future is bright! Proud of my 'son'! Thanks @generalhospitalabc!"
Unfortunately, GH has kept mum about additional storyline details surrounding Brannon's return, so fans will have to wait and see what the writers have penned for the big moment next week. Franco (Roger Howarth) was just shot and killed, which will no doubt have a devastating effect on Cameron.
