General Hospital viewers better be ready for a serious blast from the past, because Chad Brannon is back in Port Charles and has a video and photos to prove it!

Fans of General Hospital are continuing to jump up and down about the recent reveal that actor Chad Brannon is heading back to the canvas, especially as it's still unclear as to which character the ABC soap alum will be playing. Will he be stepping back into the shoes of presumed-dead character Zander Smith? Or his blink-and-you-missed-him alter ego Aaron?

GH fans may have to wait until Brannon's return this March to find out exactly what the writers have planned for his reintroduction to the canvas, but nobody has to wait to see the actor back at work in Port Charles. He took to Instagram with a video and a few snapshots of himself back at the ABC soap (which was decorated for Grey's Anatomy) along with the tease, "It's good to be back in my old stomping grounds."

Brannon played the role of Zander from 2000 to 2004 and returned to GH in 2009 for the cameo role of Aaron. Both characters have a lot of storyline potential -- Zander is Cameron Webber's (William Lipton) biological dad, while Aaron appeared in an episode in connection to Rebecca Shaw (Natalia Livingston), the twin sister of Zander's ex-wife, Emily -- so it's anyone's guess which role the actor is set to reprise.

However, William Lipton may have given a clue. The young actor commented on Brannon's post with the word "legend." And while that doesn't reveal a lot, it does seem to indicate that Lipton has met and is working with Brannon. So, let the guessing games begin!

Which character would you like to see Chad Brannon reprise when he returns to GH this spring? Why do you feel that way? We want to hear from you -- so drop your comments in the Comments section below, tweet about it on Twitter, share it on Facebook, or chat about it on our Message Boards.
