General Hospital casts Gregory Harrison as Finn and Chase's dad, Gregory Chase

General Hospital brothers Finn and Chase are getting a brand-new dad! Say hello to actor Gregory Harrison, who will now be playing the role of Gregory Chase.

A former Port Charles resident is heading back to General Hospital, but he'll have a new face. The role of Gregory Chase -- a.k.a. Finn (Michael Easton) and Chase's (Josh Swickard) father -- is now being played by veteran TV actor Gregory Harrison.

Entertainment Weekly reports that the Trapper John, M.D. alum has taken on the role last played by James Read (Clyde Weston, Days of our Lives) back in 2018. Harrison began filming at the ABC soap opera on Wednesday, meaning his first on-screen appearance will happen in the next couple of weeks.

So, to recap: Gregory Harrison is now playing Gregory Chase, who happens to be Harrison Chase's dad... Yeah, that's not confusing in the slightest!

Fans are already looking forward to what lies ahead, as it was recently revealed that newly returned Port Charles resident Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney) is Chase's mother and Finn's stepmother. Will the reunion lead to fireworks that bring heat this winter, or will Jackie and Gregory's connection be ice cold? Fans will have to keep tuning in to GH to find out!

In addition to his notable role in the 80s series Trapper John, M.D., Harrison's other credits include Falcon Crest, Sisters, Dark Skies, ER, Reckless, Ringer, Judging Amy, Joey, and One Tree Hill. He has also appeared in several TV movies like Seduced, Dangerous Pursuit, Breaking the Silence, When Secrets Kill, and A Dangerous Affair.
