New General Hospital cast member Kim Delaney opens up about how it feels to be in Port Charles and previews the "interesting places" her storyline will take viewers.
Soap opera fans were given quite the treat when classic All My Children star Kim Delaney (ex-Jenny Gardner) joined General Hospital. The treat got sweeter when it was leaked that she is likely playing Jackie Templeton, a character from the 1980s that was famously played by Demi Moore. And now the treat is so sweet, it rivals candy corn: Delaney says that her upcoming material is going to take viewers on the ride of a lifetime.
"What I've done so far is really fun and everybody in the scenes with me ... I think it's going to go a lot of interesting places," she teases to Soap Opera Digest. "We've got to keep [my storyline] quiet right now just so that [the fans] are surprised. They're all trying to figure out what I'm doing, I know! I've been reading some of the stuff [online] and they all want to know how I'm coming in. I hope they enjoy it. That's what I'm hoping for!"

Something else that Delaney is hoping for is to share some scenes with her former AMC costar Michael E. Knight, who currently plays GH character Martin Gray but is widely known to soap fans as Pine Valley charmer Tad Martin.
"Michael and I really want to do some stuff together, so we'll have to make a stink!" Delaney enthuses with a laugh, adding that she's forever grateful for the support that her AMC fans have given her over the years. "They are loyal fans, I'll tell you that. Very loyal fans... [Jenny] was a great character. I didn't realize it because it was my very first acting job.... It was magic in a bottle. And I loved doing the show."
