What could be more romantic than seeing General Hospital alum Ryan Paevey (ex-Nathan West) in his Valentine's Day Hallmark film, Matching Hearts? Um, absolutely nothing!
Move over, chocolate-covered strawberries, because there's a new Valentine's Day delight in town. Hallmark is set to feature General Hospital star Ryan Paevey (ex-Nathan West) in the romantic film Matching Hearts, which is part of the network's upcoming Love Ever After programming event.
The uber romantic movie stars Taylor Cole (who happens to be the stepdaughter of Days of our Lives' Shawn Christian [Dr. Daniel Jonas]) as Julia Palmer, a professional matchmaker who sets out to convince a handsome man named Daniel (Paevey) to sign up for her company's matchmaking services. If she can land Daniel as a client, it will boost her career and clear the path for her to take over the reins at the firm. The only problem: Daniel is known to the residents of the town as "Mr. Stay Single" because he thinks avoiding romance is the key to success.
Much to Julia's surprise, she finally manages to convince Daniel to sign up for her services. But as the two work closely together, she begins to fall for him. In order to stay professional, she works extra hard to suppress her feelings -- though that's easier said than done when she's forced to act happy when Daniel attends the town's annual Valentine's Day party with a date Julia's services matched him with. And it's especially hard because Julia secretly took a compatibility test that showed she and Daniel are 100% matched! Will Julia break down and tell him, which could lead to her happily ever after? Or will she hold onto the news for her career's sake?

Filming of Matching Hearts wrapped in November, and costar Latonya Williams posted a behind-the-scenes photo that includes Paevey and Cole. "That's a wrap! To our stars @taylorquinncole and @ryanpaevey thanks to both of you for being so open, kind, generous and fun to work with!" she shared.
As Soap Central reported in December, Hallmark has found its golden boy in Paevey, whose holiday film Christmas at the Plaza topped the Thanksgiving cable ratings chart -- even beating out football and the much-anticipated Friends Thanksgiving special. Will Matching Hearts prove to be just as good? Fans can find out when the romantic film makes it premiere on Saturday, February 8, at 9PM on the Hallmark Channel.
