General Hospital has hit a home run with the release of several softball cards featuring Port Charles characters. Now's your chance to collect them all!
Let's play ball! Or better yet, if you're a General Hospital fan, let's collect softball cards!
In celebration of its summer storyline that has pitted characters against each other in softball games, the ABC soap opera has mocked up some digital trading cards that are far out. The cards feature players from the fictional teams made up of employees of local Port Charles businesses like Corinthos Coffee, the PCPD, ELQ, the Invader, and Aurora Media.
As GH viewers saw, the first softball game was held on July 18, and ELQ went up against the PCPD. Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) put on her best cheerleader attitude for her boyfriend, Chase (Josh Swickard), while Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) had to play nurse to Michael (Chad Duell), who Chase accidentally hit in the ribs with a rogue pitch.

The next game took place on August 14, where the softball battle was between Aurora Media and the Invader. Peter (Wes Ramsey) and Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) were none too happy when Dustin (Mark Lawson) announced that he was stepping in as a substitute for Aurora, but Jax (Ingo Rademacher) offered him the position of the company driver to quickly make him an official employee. Lulu (Emme Rylan) planned to be a cheerleader, but after making a flirtatious bet with Dustin, she decided to play, after all. Aurora was the team that came out on top, but both teams celebrated at the Floating Rib with some after-game drinks.

This isn't the first time that an ABC soap has appeared on trading cards. In the 1990s, ABC released physical trading cards for All My Children, One Life to Live, and General Hospital.
