General Hospital has cast soap star Wes Ramsey (ex-Sam Spencer, Guiding Light; ex-Owen, Days of our Lives) in a mystery role set to debut right in the middle of November Sweeps.
General Hospital is pulling out all the stops to give fans what it hopes will be one of the most memorable November Sweeps periods of all time. With the exciting Tale of Two Jasons drama swirling, word has come that the ABC soap has cast daytime alum Wes Ramsey (ex-Sam Spencer, Guiding Light; ex-Owen, Days of our Lives) for an upcoming mystery role.
According to TV Line, the actor -- who happens to be the real-life beau of Laura Wright (Carly Corinthos) -- has joined the show as Peter August and will make his first appearance on November 14 -- right in the middle of the fires of November Sweeps.
"So thrilled to finally be able to share this!!!" Ramsey wrote on social media. "Port Charles is a dream come true!!!"

Ramsey's casting comes hot on the heels of the news that GH is bringing back Tamara Braun (ex-Carly Corinthos) in a new role. At this time, no further information about Ramsey's character, including how he'll fit into storylines, has been released.
In addition to his 2001 to 2008 run as GL's Sam (where he first met GH's Wright), some of Ramsey's additional TV credits include CSI: Miami, The Playboy Club, The Event, and Charmed. He also recurred as Van on the Crystal Chappell-produced digital soap Venice the Series
