Tamara Braun (ex-Carly Corinthos) is heading back to General Hospital, but does that mean she'll be replacing Laura Wright in her former role?
As if the Tale of the Two Jasons saga playing out for Steve Burton's return isn't giving General Hospital fans enough of a head spin, Tamara Braun (ex-Carly Corinthos) is set to return to the ABC soap -- meaning fans could be seeing double double trouble.

Multiple sources have revealed that the Emmy-winning actress is super close to closing a deal with the soap on which she starred from 2001 to 2005 and again in 2014.
However, Laura Wright fans need not worry too much: Daytime Confidential reports Braun will be playing "a new-but-pivotal role" tied to the upcoming Tale of Two Jasons storyline.
Interestingly enough, if Braun does return to GH, she won't be the only ex-Carly to have returned as a new character. Sarah Brown, who played Carly from 1996 to 2001, returned as Claudia Zacchara in 2008. Both Brown and Braun did return as Carly in 2014 to help mark GH's 51st anniversary.
In addition to her GH work, Braun has starred as All My Children's Reese Williams and Days of our Lives' Ava Vitali, the role that won her an Emmy.
UPDATE: Braun's return to GH has been officially confirmed! Entertainment Weekly reports the actress will be back in Port Charles beginning Wednesday, November 22 -- as a brand new character. No other details are being released at this time, but it's rumored that Braun's new mystery alter ego will somehow be connected to Steve Burton's recent return to the ABC soap.
