General Hospital's writing team was honored with this year's Writers Guild Award for Best Daytime Drama.
Congratulations are in order for the writing team of General Hospital. The group took home this year's Writers Guild Award for Best Daytime Drama.
The WGA honored head writers Jean Passanante and Shelly Altman with the award during the ceremony that took place on Sunday, February 19, in New York City. GH writers Anna Theresa Cascio, Andrea Archer Compton, Suzanne Flynn, Janet Iacobuzio, Elizabeth Korte, Daniel James O'Connor, Dave Rupel, Katherine Schock, Scott Sickles, Chris Van Etten, and Christopher Whitesell were also included in winning the award.

GH was the only daytime drama to be nominated in the category this year, which made its win inevitable. The series won last year's WGA award, as well, under the direction of Ron Carlivati (who now serves as head writer for Days of our Lives).
