General Hospital alum Tyler Christopher (ex-Nikolas Cassadine) thanks fans for their continued support and hints about his status with the ABC soap.
It's a brand new year, but General Hospital fans are still holding onto the past -- at least when it comes to ber popular star Tyler Christopher (Nikolas Cassadine). The actor left the canvas last summer for what were described as "personal reasons," which were later revealed to be contract negotiations. Though Tyler and GH reportedly hoped to strike a deal, sources say they were unable to come to terms, and it wasn't long after that a rep for the ABC soap confirmed the actor would not be reprising the role he originated in 1996.
However, fans are once again buzzing about the possibility that Christopher could return, and it's all due to a tweet the actor sent out in the new year.
"Thanks for all the #GH love after all these months away," he tweeted. "Wish I could respond to everyone. Very much appreciated. Never say never."

Though the message doesn't say he'll most definitely be back, some viewers have been quick to point out it means there's at least a possibility he could return in the future. And that's good enough for fans of the actor, who've feared GH may choose to permanently recast the role.
