General Hospital star Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth Webber) is back to work at the ABC soap after a brief hiatus following a contract snafu.
Good news, General Hospital fans: Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth Webber) will be back in Port Charles in the blink of an eye.
Soap Opera Digest reports that the actress, who was forced to take a brief hiatus following stalled contract negotiations with the ABC soap, is already back at work on set and will be seen on Wednesday, May 4.
As fans may recall, Herbst revealed that when she and the powers that be couldn't reach an agreement on her contract earlier this year, she wasn't able to work for a short period of time. "Because this [contract] negotiation went right up to the last minute, they did have to stop writing for me for a little while," she shared at the time, adding that her fans helped her through the uncertain period.
"They've followed me and Elizabeth for almost 19 years. I am so grateful for that," she said. "They literally got me through the contract [talks] day by day. When I was doubting myself, and thinking that I might not be able to stay on GH, I would read their comments on the Internet and feel so secure in whatever decision I made. I knew it was going to be okay, no matter what. They sent flowers and cupcakes. Everything they did throughout the last two months has been remarkable. I wish I could hug them all."
