General Hospital's Donnell Turner (Curtis Ashford) is speaking out about autism during L.A.'s Autism Speaks Walk scheduled for next month.
General Hospital's Donnell Turner (Curtis Ashford) is scheduled to make an appearance as a celebrity guest speaker during this year's Autism Speaks Walk event that will be taking place at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, next month.
"It's a global event and such a worthy cause that means so much not just to me, but to millions," the actor tells Soap Opera Digest. "I'm honored to be on that stage speaking on that behalf. I had a cousin who had autism and I know a lot of people who are parenting children with autism and the battles, the love, the strength it takes as a parent. It's such an important cause and I'm pleased to be a part of it."
For more information on the event, which takes place on Friday, April 2 (World Autism Awareness Day), check out AutismSpeaksWalk.org.
"I encourage EVERYONE to participate in this inspiring day that empowers you to make a difference in our world," Turner tweeted earlier today.
