TODAY: GH's Patrick, Robin and Emma say goodbye to Port Charles

General Hospital's Brooklyn Rae Silzer bids fans a fond farewell as her character, Emma, and the girl's on-screen parents, Patrick (Jason Thompson) and Robin (Kimberly McCullough), pack their bags and head to California.

It's a sad ending for fans, but the big move to California for General Hospital's Patrick (Jason Thompson), Robin (Kimberly McCullough), and Emma (Brooklyn Rae Silzer) is a happy one for the fictional family that can look forward to a fresh start on the West Coast.

The storyline twist brings Thomspon, McCullough, and Silzer's time in Port Charles to an end, which Silzer admits has been a tough adjustment. "I am very sad about [Emma and her family] moving but I understand that this was the best way to write our story since Jason [Thompson, Patrick] was leaving," says the actress in tomorrow's issue of Soap Opera Digest.

Thompson and Silzer's final airdate is today, January 7, but there's a possibility Emma may return to Port Charles in the future. "I would really love to come back," she enthuses. "My Grandma Anna [Finola Hughes] has a huge house now and she might be lonely and need to see Emma. We could have super-long sleepovers!"

Silzer joined GH in the role on Emma in 2011, and McCullough has played Robin on-again-off-again since 1985. Thompson originated the role of Patrick in 2005 and can be seen as The Young and the Restless' new Billy Abbott beginning Wednesday, January 13.
