The surprises keep rolling out for GH's Fan February, the latest one being that two-time Emmy nominee and fan favorite Rebecca has been cast in an unnamed role.
Hot on the heels of the news that General Hospital fans have the chance to influence story during this year's big return of Fan February comes news that a firecracker is headed to Port Charles: former All My Children and Guiding Light star Rebecca .
"I can't wait to be a part of #GH and to work with a group of very talented people," shared on Twitter, using the hashtag "#excited!"
is set to play a new character who head writer Ron Carlivati described as "a real spitfire." Executive producer Frank Valentini added that this would be a "Killer role." Additional details about the role are being kept under wraps at this time, though did tweet that she'll be sharing scenes with Rick Hearst (Ric Lansing).

During a lengthy reveal on Twitter, mused that she would only join the ABC soap "if Billy Miller [Jason/Jake] will do my hair. Like Elizabeth Taylor's."
The actress -- who gave birth to her first child, daughter Charlotte Jo Benson, last September -- has quite an impressive run on soap operas. ABC Daytime fans know her as the feisty yet lovable Greenlee Smythe, a role she played on-again, off-again from 1999 through 2011. Her work on AMC earned her Outstanding Supporting Actress Emmy nominations in 2001 and 2003. CBS fans might remember her as Guiding Light's Michelle Bauer, which she played from 1997 to 1998.
At this time, there's no word on how 's new GH gig will affect her job as host of the syndicated talk show, The Better Show, from which she's been absent due to maternity leave.
