Is Vanessa Marcil Giovinazzo's return to General Hospital coming to a close. In a new interview, the actress revealed that her time on the ABC soap is "almost done" and that GH is already working on her exit story.
For years, General Hospital fans gossiped over whether or not Emmy winner Vanessa Marcil Giovinazzo (Brenda Barrett) would return to the ABC soap. When the network announced last year that, after seven years, the actress would finally be returning, fans immediately began to question how long Marcil would be sticking around.
Now there appears to be something of an answer to that question. In an interview with Access Hollywood, Marcil revealed that her time in Port Charles is just about up.
"It was like going to an incredible high school reunion. We had so much fun and I have so much respect for these people. They work so hard," the actress said of her return to General Hospital. "After the wedding there is a lot of drama because my time [on General Hospital] is almost done, so we have to figure out how to pull back."
The news of Marcil's exit will undoubtedly upset her fans, but the actress assures them that she's left the door open to return in the future.
"I'll come back and visit for the rest of my life," Marcil offered with a smile.
A final airdate for Marcil has not been announced, and understandably the show is staying mum about the specifics.
