It's that time of year again when your favorite soap operas take a break during Thanksgiving week. While you will see Days of our Lives all five days this week, General Hospital, The Young and the Restless, and The Bold and the Beautiful will have an abbreviated schedule.
CBS soaps take a holiday
The Young and the Restless finishes off the holiday week on Wednesday with a very special Thanksgiving episode as the Abbotts and Newmans gather in their respective homes for some family drama that could only be served up in Genoa City.

The Bold and the Beautiful ends the week on Wednesday as well, but there are no special Thanksgiving festivities planned for the Forresters and Logans.
On Thursday, November 28, and Friday, November 29, CBS Sports will air NFL and college football games.
General Hospital offers an encore
On Thanksgiving Day, you can enjoy some Port Charles fun with an encore episode from this past summer. The July 19, 2024, General Hospital episode features Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Laura (Genie Francis) visiting a comatose Lulu. Neither has any idea that a few months later, Sam (Kelly Monaco) will die, and Lulu will wake after receiving a portion of Sam's liver.
Josslyn (Eden McCoy) and Trina (Tabyana Ali) share a special moment while moving into their new apartment when Josslyn finds the turtle dove that Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) had given Trina. Josslyn's mom, Carly (Laura Wright), also shares a special moment with Jason (Steve Burton) on the footbridge as he celebrates his freedom from the FBI and contemplates what to do with the rest of his life. Little did he know he'd end up living back home in the Quartermaine mansion after nearly 30 years.
On Friday, November 29, GH is pre-empted entirely for an ABC Sports presentation.
Days of our Lives carries on
The only soap that will present new episodes the entire week is Days of our Lives. With it streaming exclusively on Peacock, DAYS doesn't have to worry about network sports pre-emptions.
However, Thanksgiving will be a bittersweet time in Salem this year when Jack (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer's (Melissa Reeves) arrival home coincides with the death of Doug Williams, played by the late Bill Hayes.
Earlier in the week, DAYS streamed pre-Thanksgiving episodes with members of the Kiriakis and Brady clans enjoying Turkey Day in their own unique way.
You can catch a full week of your four favorite soaps again starting on Monday, December 2.
