General Hospital friends...or something more
When Steve Burton brought the real Jason back to Port Charles in 2017, he and Anna forged a tepid friendship that had never been there before. Jason even helped Anna figure out that Peter August was really her son. It later turned out that Anna's twin sister, Alex, was Peter's real mother, but at the time, Anna managed to convince Jason not to kill Peter.
In 2024, Burton brought Jason back to the GH scene again. Jason and Anna began working together to get to the bottom of the Pikeman Group mystery. When Anna discovered that Valentin was the elusive head of Pikeman, Jason looked the other way while Anna helped Valentin escape town.
Once Jason was no longer forced to work for the FBI, Anna had hoped Jason would join her on the right side of the law and not join Sonny's organization again. Anna was disappointed when Jason's loyalty to Sonny seemingly won out, and she told Jason she could no longer think of him as a friend. Surprisingly, that seemed to emotionally wound Jason.
Not long after Anna broke Jason's friendship heart, Jason appeared next to her on an airplane, ready to help her track Lucky down in Somalia. As soon as Anna spotted Jason, her face lit up.
Could there be something more brewing between Jason and Anna than friendship?
The weird factor
If Jason and Anna were to become a romantic item, some fans might be a little disturbed by the idea, considering Jason's former relationship with Anna's daughter.
After the car accident that caused Jason Quartermaine to morph into Jason Morgan nearly 30 years ago, Jason and Robin became friends who turned into lovers. Anna has always had a soft spot for Jason because of his relationship with Robin, but could Robin and fans handle Jason and Anna as a couple?
Other past loves
While Jason and Anna are both currently single, that doesn't mean their hearts are free. Anna allowed Valentin to skip town because she loved him. Jason is about to lose his ex-wife when Kelly Monaco exits and Sam is killed off later this fall. Plus, Elizabeth is still around and also single.
Valentin might return when Lulu awakens so Charlotte can reunite with her mother, occupying Anna's time. For Jason, Elizabeth is the one that got away. With past loves complicating things, perhaps Jason and Anna will keep it in the friend zone...for now.
