General Hospital's Scott Baldwin was all set to make some money from Heather's faulty artificial hip case, as well as help Ava out of a jam, when he suddenly vanished into practically thin air. What happened to Scott, and why can't anyone find him?
Scotty Baldwin disappears
John had sent Scott on a mission to take care of Clement, the pharmacist who Valentin had hired to give Sonny bipolar meds that were a fraction of the prescribed dosage. John asked Scott to take Clement to Spoon Island, but Scott made a snack run first.
When Scott returned, he spotted Jason entering the warehouse where John had stashed Clement. The next thing fans knew, Scott's snacks were all over the ground, and Scott was nowhere to be found.
The audience did learn Scott had contacted Ric Lansing at some point and asked Ric to take over Heather's case. However, Ric couldn't explain what had happened to poor Scott. Lucy also talked to Scott briefly, but little was revealed about their exchange.
Kin Shriner's status with General Hospital
While Kin Shriner has been a recurring player on GH for years, he often likes to tweet that Scotty may not be returning to the show anytime soon. Usually, he appears again within weeks.
On September 4, a fan tweeted that they wanted to see Scott back soon. Shriner responded by saying, "Scott Baldwin gone!!!"
In July, Shriner tweeted about recovering from foot surgery as a result of an injury a few years prior. The actor enjoyed some relaxation time at home, watching Turner Classic Movies.
On September 3, Shriner tweeted a picture of himself, saying he was finally wearing shoes again after nine weeks.
Did Shriner's recovery take him away from the GH set, resulting in Scott's disappearance? Will we see Scott again soon and learn what happened to him? Did he run away from Port Charles on purpose, or was he kidnapped?
Scotty is a Port Charles mainstay
Shriner's version of Scott Baldwin has been a part of the Port Charles scene on and off since 1977. When Shriner made his GH debut, Scotty was a good guy law student who fell for and married a young Laura Webber. Laura and Scotty's marriage didn't last long after she met Luke Spencer.
Shriner has come and gone from GH over the decades, while also bringing Scotty to the GH spinoff series Port Charles as a lead character.
When Scott returns to Port Charles this time around, he is sure to have a tale to tell about what happened after he went shopping for some snacks.
