What the General Hospital cast really did behind the scenes at the Jennifer Hudson Show

Several General Hospital cast members were guests on The Jennifer Hudson Show, where actor Donnell Turner (Curtis) revealed that he was Starstruck when he first met Finola Hughes (Anna). The cast had a fun time and Hughes herself had shared a brief behind-the-scenes video on social media. Now, others have come forward with fun backstage shots from the events, sharing them with the fans.

They danced their hearts out

Set to the tune of Funkadelic’s song, One Nation Under a Groove, Maurice Benard posted a video to Instagram, writing, “All all of us went on the @jenniferhudsonshow she was extremely sweet, everyone there treated us with respect. GREAT TIME 🌹 check your local listings

In the video, Benard had his phone facing him, and you could see behind him on one side were Laura Wright (Carly), Finola Hughes (Anna), and Tanisha Harper (Jordan). On the other side were Donnell Turner (Curtis) and Cameron Mathison (Drew), and Benard stopped panning. Turner smiled while Mathison made a hilarious, shocked face.

Having no idea that Benard was recording a video, Turner responded, “Maaan, I thought it was a still pic!!! Hahahaha 🤦🏽‍♂️🥴😂,” which got a lot of laughs from fans. One follower who had worked on General Hospital in the past replied, “🔥 That is so cool! I did background actor work on GH for about 5 years and Maurice was one of the nicest people on set. He would always say good morning and made me feel like I was part of the cast and not just a background actor. Great memories ❤️.”

In the video, the cast members grooved their way down a back hall, dancing their hearts out, with the talk show’s staff singing an original song involving the two shows. There was a second clip showing the hilarious Q&A session from the interview where all of the cast had to give an answer to a question about their characters.

The Jennifer Hudson Show also shared the video on their official Instagram page, with Hughes responding, “Let’s goooo!! Best time! Thank you @jenniferhudsonshow and @iamjhud.” Co-star Tabyana Ali (Trina) also excitedly replied, “Ms. Finola was really getting down! Omg😂🩷🌷.”

Wright did something a little different. She shared several photos of her and her castmates on Instagram also, writing, “A Big Thank You to the @jenniferhudsonshow for having us - what a fun day!! It was a party from the time we danced on to the stage til we danced off !!! Now it’s time to have Jennifer join us in Port Charles ✨❤️…Photographer credit: Chris Haston / Warner Bros.”

It’s always nice to see the General Hospital cast having fun outside the confines of their home studio!
