“Those things are insane” - General Hospital alum Nicholas Alexander Chavez shows off his suit for GQ

Former General Hospital star Nicholas Alexander Chavez has been on top of the world lately. After leaving the soap, he joined the show Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez story playing the titular Lyle. While he hasn’t ruled out an eventual return to the soap, for now he’s happy doing what he’s doing. He recently appeared at a major Academy Award party sporting a new look, and has been all over social media.

He felt like he was wearing armor

On X, formerly Twitter, General Hospital alum Nicholas Alexander Chavez shared a video that was captioned: “Nicholas Alexander Chavez for GQ at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party!” Holding a microphone with the mic flag emblazoned with the GQ logo.

In it, he started talking about the kind of knots a man would tie their necktie in, remarking, “You ever seen one of those crazy like Trinity knots? Those things are insane. This is head to toe Jacquemus.

Jacquemus is a clothing brand from France, and Chavez’s suit was black with a white shirt and black tie. He continued, noting that:

It kind of feels like armor when you put it on…almost like you're going into battle, but like in a beautiful way.

Chavez continued pontificating about his suit, stating, “My favorite thing about the outfit is the tie, because I was like, ‘Well, do we think that this is a single Windsor suit or a double Windsor suit? It's like the material is already so good that…it doesn't doesn't need to do too much, you know?”

He explained that in his younger days he partook in “speech and debate tournaments” in which he and the kids he was with had to wear suit and ties, and he and his friends would:

Like, embarrassingly look up different ways to tie ties. Yeah, bunch of young gents in high school.

The fan comments loved his new look with @s_u_a_d_a pointing out:

Along with the video, pics of him posing in his new suit were all over social media. He shared two shots of him from a distance where you could see his entire ensemble on Instagram.

Former General Hospital co-star Tanisha Harper (Jordan) excitedly responded, “Love the entire vibe!”

As the video and various static shots of Chavez and his new look were found all over social media, his female fans were going ga-ga over him, and his charm continues to make the fans swoon.
