General Hospital has Nikolas Cassadine in prison, which makes it easier for Adam Huss to appear in other projects. He starred in the 2024 TV movie Couples Retreat Murder and currently appears in Pregnant By My Ex’s Dad on the ReelShort app where viewers can choose the ending they want. He’s also got over ten more projects in the works, and there are no signs of him slowing down. He recently took to social media to inform fans about one of the numerous projects he’s got going on.

His new show is a baseball-themed series

Excited for his new television show Heavy Hitters, Huss posted on X, formerly Twitter:

Lil #bts of my latest project, the TV series Heavy Hitters, where I play Coach Rob Mitchell, disgruntled #baseball coach of the Red team! #actoslife #setlife

Along with the caption was a video depicting various actors as baseball players, shown in motion as well as in static images, and it’s clear production was underway on a real baseball field. According to IMDb, the new 2025 series’ plot is:

The nation's top baseball prospects go through a pre-draft combine to prove they are the best, while dealing with drama off and on the field.

Heavy Hitters is written and directed by Candice T. Cain, who’s been making films since 2017, including Santa’s Second Wife (2022) and Prank Squad (2023), among several others. Cain previously directed Huss in the film Peek-A-Boo.

Heavy Hitters also co-stars stuntman Nelson Figueroa (Chasing Hope, 2023), Sarah Voigt (Terrifier 2, 2022), and famed actress Catherine Mary Stuart, who’s appeared in such classic films as Night of the Comet (1984) and The Last Starfighter (1984). Stuart also played in the soap opera world when she portrayed Kayla Johnson on Days of our Lives from 1982 to 1983, and she last appeared in a 2023 episode of Law & Order.

Enthusiastic about his new show, Huss shared an article about it on Facebook, writing:

Thank you for the write-ups Soaps In Depth. Appreciate you and appreciate you covering this awesome experience shooting Heavy Hitters by Gemelli Films produced, written, and directed by wonder woman Candice Cain

He’s got a lot of irons in the fire

Huss is also very busy behind the scenes as a writer and producer, working on such films as the thriller Strangers in the Night, which he both wrote and produced. He also produced the werewolf horror short Let it Kill You. The General Hospital star was so thrilled that his film’s premiere was covered by Bloody-Disgusting, that he shared a screenshot of the article in June 2023 on Instagram, writing:
