Ric grew up harboring resentment toward Sonny because their mother chose Sonny over Ric and his father. When Ric got to Port Charles, he tried to plot against Sonny by getting close to Carly. He ended up falling in love with Elizabeth, who became pregnant with his baby. However, when she miscarried, he blamed Sonny. Ric kidnapped Carly, who was pregant, with the intention of keeping her baby for himself and Elizabeth, but Carly escaped.

Later, Ric and Alexis had a fling that resulted in a pregnancy, and they had a daughter, Molly. They genuinely tried to make the relationship work for Molly. They loved each other, but that quickly soured, especially after he slept with Alexis' oldest daughter, Sam.

Who plays Molly on General Hospital?

Molly Lansing-Davis has been portrayed by several different actresses. Haley Pullos was the cast member who played Molly for the longest time, beginning in 2009 and continuing until 2023.

Holiday Mia Kriegel briefly replaced Pullos and played the role until July 2023. Next, Brooke Anne Smith abruptly took over the role of Molly. It was originally planned that Smith would take the role permanently, but fans protested about her age, which was notably older than Pullos, the Molly that fans were used to.
