General Hospital turns 62 years old on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. Ahead of the big occasion, GH has released a memory-filled video of your favorite stars talking about their best Port Charles moments from the last year. See if you agree with their choices.
General Hospital super stunts

Jason and Anna saw a lot of action over the last year, including in Africa and back in Port Charles. Finola Hughes was especially thrilled with the dramatic moment that ended Jason and Anna's African adventure.
"I always love it when I get to do a stunt," Hughes said. "I think the stunts in Africa were amazing, the big fireball that we did outside."
Of course, Steve Burton's favorite thing about the last year is his character's reappearance on the scene in March. "Being alive has been great," he joked. However, Burton's most memorable moments came during the fire in Sonny's apartment that sent Michael to a German burn clinic.
"For me, it was the explosion at Sonny's penthouse," Burton relayed. "It's always fun to do stunts; the fire was amazing, the special effects guys were awesome."
Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) echoed Burton's sentiments, saying, "I've been here 31 years [and it was] probably one of if not the best stunts I have seen."
Makeup magic

Chad Duell, who exited the soap in January, couldn't stop raving about the makeup department and the incredible job they did with Michael's burns.
"How much love and attention went into it from the makeup team to look so real," Duell said. "And they were so proud of it and I hope they do win an Emmy for that. It wasn't much fun getting into it, but when I saw it, these guys, they killed it."
The fire and subsequent burns became Duell's exit story, but he hasn't ruled out a return to GH one day.
A tender reunion

The last year also brought lots of familiar faces back to GH, including Rick Hearst and Jonathan Jackson, who are currently involved in a major car crash story.
For beloved veteran Genie Francis, Jackson's return was everything she could have hoped for.
"My favorite from the last year is having Jonathan Jackson return," Francis said. "It's just been dreamy."
The actress began working with Jackson in 1993 when he was just 11 years old and only shared scenes with him briefly during his 2015 appearance.
Quartermaine happenings

The Quartermaine clan had an interesting and quirky year as always. Wally Kurth had trouble coming up with a favorite moment, but Giovanni Mazza did not. The young actor who plays secret Q, Gio Palmieri, was all-in during a hilarious guest appearance.
"One of my favorite scenes I've ever done was working with Sarah Sherman," Mazza said of the Saturday Night Live star's cameo guest shot. "I watch SNL and to work with her was just so cool."
Amanda Setton's favorite moment was a lot more sentimental. "Probably Brook Lynn and Chase's wedding," the actress said. "It was just such a sweet, loving, beautiful, moving three-day event, and I felt so honored and grateful to be a part of it."
A real-life medical miracle

John J. York and Kristina Wagner have been beloved as Mac and Felicia Scorpio for decades, but this past year brought serious health troubles for York. He was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome and smoldering multiple myeloma, two different forms of blood cancer, and had to undergo a bone marrow transplant.
For Wagner, having York back as Mac last summer was the highlight of her soap year. She became choked up as she spoke about it.
"The first day I came back on set and John was there after his departure from his illness," Wagner said. "It was the best day of my year, my whole year."
