General Hospital fans were thrilled when Jonathan Jackson reprised his role as Lucky Spencer in August 2024. His return opens the door for many new storylines, and fans hope that Lucky will eventually reunite with his former love, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). While all that is happening on the show, in real life, Jackson continues to be active. He recently posted about a fun event that’s close to his heart on social media.
Time to run

He also attached a video to the post in which he stated, “Hey, everybody, I just wanted to let you know that the Gorey night run is back and it is in its 10th year, which is absolutely amazing. And I'm very excited about it. As always, the proceeds for this will go to the North Wexford Hospice. You can go to popupraces.ie to sign up. And [I] just wanted to send a lot of love to our friends in North Wexford in Gorey, Ireland. We are with you in spirit, and I know it's going to be a beautiful event. It is February 20 at 7:30 p.m. You can go to popupraces.ie. Much love. God bless.”

He enthusiastically finished the video with, “It's gonna be amazing!” @tbui321, who appreciates his work, responded, “Love you, Jonathan! It’s always great to see the good works you accomplish and your support for those in need.” Another follower of General Hospital’s Jonathan Jackson, @tipper2015, commented similarly, albeit humorously, “Good luck to all!! Hope you break the bank…In terms of raising funds!!!! 🙏🏾❤️☮️.”
One viewer, @sarah.anne.hardy, made an obscure reference to one of Jackson’s best films with the comment, “I spent 5 minutes thinking “Why does he look so familiar?” Then it hit me…. Oh my god!!! That's Jesse Tuck!!!! ❤️.” The reference is to a character he played in the 2002 film Tuck Everlasting which was about a family who could not die. It co-starred some amazing actors, including William Hurt, Sissy Spacek, and Ben Kingsley.
The fans were collectively glad to see that he returned to General Hospital, and many sent loving heart and fire emojis. @hthompson6930 praised Jackson with, “You are such an amazing actor and human!! I love everything you do!” And @margaretinsalaco recalled that Jackson was on the TV series Nashville, responding, "Jonathan, you are so good on GH. I also loved you on Nashville. You are so talented. Stay well. Big Fan."
