General Hospital's Molly and Kristina are at odds, something their mother, Alexis, saw coming as soon as Molly agreed to accept Kristina's offer to be an egg donor and surrogate for Molly and T.J.

Things were awkward between the sisters during the pregnancy, as T.J. worried Kristina would do something to put the baby in danger and Molly watched Kristina grow attached to the child she was carrying. Now that the pregnancy has ended in tragedy, Kristina is offended that Molly and T.J. named their little girl without her. In addition, Molly suspects Kristina was not blameless for the plunge out the window that resulted in the baby's death. She also now knows Kristina had paperwork to sue T.J. for custody of the baby.
Molly feels all alone as Alexis comforts Kristina, causing Molly to resent the sister she had once been so close to even more. Thankfully, Kristen Vaganos and Kate Mansi get along much better in real life.
A real-life sisterhood emerged
Both Vaganos and Mansi came to the roles in 2023 after Haley Pullos and Lexi Ainsworth had played the characters for years. The actresses were able to bond quickly.
"Kate and I have become such close friends since I joined the show. It’s one of those really lucky situations where we have so much love and trust and care for each other that we can really go there and we don’t need to hold back," Vaganos told Soap Opera Digest. "We overlap our dialogue and we step on each other’s toes and we allow it to get a little messy and ugly, which is what it really would look like between sisters. It just feels so organic and we’re both so grateful to have each other."
Despite her love for Mansi, Vaganos loves when Kristina and Molly are at odds.
"I mean, if you want to fight with someone you’ve just met, great, but if you want to fight with your sister, it’s got to look like it’s real! Family fights like no one else. And so we’re really lucky that we feel like we can really go there with each other. And it’s fun! I mean, it’s fun to be happy together and it’s fun to play friends because we are friends, but it’s more fun to be angry! We’re loving it."
Mansi seems to have just as much affection for Vaganos, who Mansi refers to as "SisKris." When Vaganos celebrated her birthday on May 7, Mansi shared a photo of herself and her on-screen sibling on Instagram, along with the simple caption: "It's SisKris bday! Which is a national holiday."
It looks like Molly and Kristina will be battling it out for a while as Molly comes to terms with the fact that T.J. and Alexis were right—Kristina never should have been the one to help her and T.J. become parents.
