Josslyn's kill shot and Brook Lynn's baby news: General Hospital writers reveal what's ahead

The February 20, 2025, episode of General Hospital had everything you could want in a soap. One legacy character was rushed to the hospital, another committed her first murder, and yet another legacy character blurted out she had a baby more than 20 years ago. GH managed to pack all that and more into less than an hour and it paid off in spades. Now, it's time for the fallout.

General Hospital's Josslyn enters a new chapter

Now that Josslyn has killed someone, her life will never be the same. She had never held a gun before, much less pulled its trigger, but all that changed when she saw Cyrus coming at her with an ax. That one act opened up a myriad of new story possibilities that will help us discover more about the mysterious Jack Brennan.

"Brennan’s presence in Port Charles and his proximity to Carly is no accident," GH Head Writers Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten previewed in Soap Opera Digest. "His feelings for Carly are accidental, though — and those feelings will come into direct conflict with his intentions for Josslyn."

Josslyn's "shoot first and think later" moment will also open up new story possibilities for Jason.

"A number of Port Charles residents will be pulled into this developing story as loyalties, friendships, and families will be called into question, present loves tested, new loves emerge, and many lives threatened, Jason among them!" the writers said. "Josslyn’s act — and Brennan’s assistance — puts our hero’s freedom on the line… and elicits suspicion about exactly what happened to Cyrus, and who made it happen."

Brook Lynn's baby brings Lulu chaos

Brook Lynn also had a big moment in the midst of Lucky ending up in the ER thanks to Cyrus and Cyrus ending up dead thanks to Josslyn. She finally told Chase that she had a baby as a teenager, something that blows his mind.

"When Brook Lynn finally confesses all to Chase, he’s rightly furious," Korte and Van Etten explained. "Not at Brook Lynn, but at the situation. He hates to think of the pain his wife underwent; and it kills him even now to see her turmoil over the son she gave up, the son she’ll never know."

With Chase now privy to the knowledge that his wife has an adult child out there, the news is sure to spread quickly. When Lulu learns the news, she does what Lulu does best and interferes, which can either be a good thing or a bad thing.

"She’s got her parents’ nose for mystery, and won’t stand for injustice," the writers mused. "If she learns Dante has a kid, and that kid’s existence was kept from him, Lulu would stop at nothing to bring it to light… Lois and Brook Lynn be damned."

With Lois trying to keep the fact that Gio is Brook Lynn's son a secret, she might want to find a way to deal with Lulu.
