Is Mavis General Hospital's newest canine star?

On General Hospital, Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) recently bumped into a lady named Elaine Stevens (Judy Kain), who had a cute pooch named Mavis. Sasha didn’t think anything of it and was enthralled with the little doggie. However, Felicia (Kristina Wagner) would later inform Sasha that Elaine was a private investigator who used Mavis to distract her targets while she pumped them for information. Sasha set things up so she’d bump into Elaine again to grab her notebook, and as a distraction, she let Mavis off her leash. The dog ran off into traffic and was fine, and fortunately, Elaine only ended up with a neck brace. Fans think Mavis is so cute that she may become a major star on the soap.

Anything is paws-ible

General Hospital’s official Instagram page posted a delightful picture of Mattsson holding Mavis in front of Bobbie’s diner. They teased fans with the caption, “Try and say that Mavis isn't the cutest little P.I. you've ever seen. We dare you. 🐶 📸 @iamsofiamattsson #BehindtheScenes #GH #GeneralHospital.” The word ‘adorable’ was bandied about by several fans whose hearts melted upon seeing the wonderful image.

@srodgers11658 enjoyed seeing Mattson/Sasha’s smile as he posed with the pooch and commented, “Love Sasha❤️ let her be happy for a change. She’s had enough loss. Her character deserves better.” Sasha’s been through a lot including the death of her baby, the death of her husband, having several public meltdowns, and fining out her new lover is actually her cousin. Let's give her some security and a good man,” and the fan conversation moved to a speculation that Sasha and Jason (Steve Burton) might become a new super couple.

A fan going by @pace6488 shared a fun comment: “I have a Yorkie we watch GH together That’s our mommy and me time. Coffee and cookies. And if later, then wine and cookies.” @kelly.mcpoland was absolutely blown away by the yorkie, gushing, “Mavis is a DOLLFACE‼️🥰.”

Meanwhile, @maryann.rush2 had some harsh words for General Hospital P.I. Elaine with the comment, “The dog is great. The Private Eye lady is a female scoundrel. I am not sorry that she [was] hit by a car off [screen].” However, the fans overwhelmingly adored Mavis, with @belle_renee_epid replying, “Mavis 🐶🐾 Is The Cutest Little PI & She Is Very Adorable.” And @ooeeeeiinnnaa, who wants Mavis to become a regular part of the cast, responded, “I love Mavis 😍😍 She needs more air time 🐶.”
