General Hospital's Jordan Ashford has been a lonely woman for way too long. After her marriage to Curtis ended, Jordan had a brief fling with Portia's brother, Zeke, but he mysteriously disappeared from town with no word. Now, there's a new man in Port Charles who could be just what Jordan needs.
Jordan's curiosity is piqued
Jordan may not be a cop anymore, but she still seems to love a good mystery. When Isaiah's appearance in town as a John Doe caught her interest, Jordan was determined to learn as much about him as possible.
Now that "John Doe" is awake and has identified himself as Dr. Isaiah Gannon, Jordan and Isaiah are set to grow closer in the coming weeks. As they forge a friendship, fans wonder if a romance can be far behind.
A General Hospital chemistry test
When Sawandi Wilson auditioned for GH, the powers that be screen-tested him with Tanisha Harper, who plays Jordan, indicating the show may have plans for the two characters.
That screen test put Wilson right at ease when he filmed Isaiah's first scenes with Jordan.
"It was great because already from the test, it felt like there was so much history there," Wilson told Soap Opera Digest. "It was like we had an unspoken agreement immediately of, 'Okay, this is the thing, we’re here, we’re here,' and that was from the test itself. So immediately, when I came back [to the studio to begin filming] and I saw her, I gave her a huge hug and I said, 'Thank you for being so generous as a scene partner [during my screen test].' Because she was very generous — she was incredible!"
Jordan's other suitor
For months, Sonny's tech guy Brick has shown an interest in Jordan, and she even met him for a meal recently. Although actor and sportscaster Stephen A. Smith is just recurring on GH as Brick, the character could give Isaiah a run for his money. Jordan seemed intrigued by Brick, but Jordan is all about law and order, so she stays away from mafia men these days.
Of course, Curtis is never far from Jordan's mind. If his marriage to Portia is ever on the rocks again, he could go running to Jordan once more. However, Curtis might find that Isaiah has taken his place in her heart.
