General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) has been dating recipe creator Michelle Lundstrom for a while now. After recently sharing details about their trip to New York City, the couple posted a funny video of the two of them partaking in something called a “Hot Sawce Challenge.”
Dragon’s Breath
On Instagram, Michelle shared the video in which she and Steve Burton were seated at a table with a plate and several bottles of hot sauce. She captioned it:
Hot Sawce Challenge🔥 @1steveburton really loved this game. Who wants to play next?🤭 @melindasfoods has some tasty hot sauces! We are just not made for the ghost pepper level 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 5 flames😆🔥😬

In the video clip, Burton stated:
I love your food, but I don’t like hot sauce.
Lundstrom added:
We’re mild sauce lovers.
She then read one of the bottles, “Melinda’s Original Habanero Mango Pepper Sauce.” The two tried it on chicken wings, after which Lundstrom stated that it had “good flavor,” and Burton declared he would have more.
Lundstrom also advised that milk is a good remedy for spicy foods that burn your mouth. While enjoying a glass of milk, Burton stated:
Honestly, the last time I drank a glass of milk was 1988.
They tried another one called “Fire Roasted Garlic and Habanero Pepper Sauce,” again enjoying chicken wings. Afterward, Burton stated that his mouth felt like it was on fire, causing him to sweat. Taking cooling breaths and waving her hand in front of her mouth, Lundstrom announced:
I feel like I’m a dragon. It’s so hot!
She then advised that dairy and sugar would remedy the pain. When Burton asked if it was working as she put a spoonful of the mixture in her mouth, she said it wasn’t. She could barely get the words out:
Half my tongue’s gone!
They tried another one that was “super hot,” and in the aftermath, Burton had a paper towel stuck to his forehead and covering his face while Lundstrom chugged back more milk. They continued eating as things got more hilarious, with Lundstrom coughing from the spicy sauce and Burton’s face turning bright red from the heat. All the while, they were laughing through the pain. “It got my throat!” she said through the coughs.
The next bottle was “5 Flames Boot Julochia Ghost Pepper Hot Sauce.” She asked what that even was and stated she was scared to try it. They did, and after suffering through it, Lundstrom declared:
We’re dead. We’re done.
While trying to change the conversation, Lundstrom asked who his favorite General Hospital co-star was, but all he could do was say that he couldn’t feel his tongue. He finally stated:
We made it. I did it for you only.
Burton’s General Hospital co-star Laura Wright (Carly Spencer) responded:
Omg 😆
When Lundstrom replied that Wright was next, Wright wrote:
@themoneymichelle I can’t with the heat !! Ghost peppers ?!?! So hot !!
A chef with the handle @taylor_carroll_cooks gave the advice:
Lol, you need milk chocolate next time! The oils from the chocolate coat your palate and make the burning stop.
Overall, the fans thought the video was absolutely hilarious, though many stated that they would never do it.
