General Hospital star Kirsten Storms tries out a new look

General Hospital’s Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones) has had some difficulties with her health over the years. In 2021, she had brain surgery to take care of a brain cyst. Later, in April 2024, she was on co-star Maurice Benard’s (Sonny Corinthos) YouTube mental health series State of Mind, where she explained that she had bipolar disorder and was easily flustered. But things are changing for Storms. Recently she posted about a change, and her fans were happy to hear the news.

She had double the fun

Storms posted a couple of selfies on Instagram, one with her hair tied up while wearing a shirt buttoned all the way to her neck, and the other with her wearing a sweatshirt with her hair down. She captioned them:

I don’t know if it’s the ribbon bow at my collar (courtesy of our wardrobe designer extraordinaire Shawn) or the mohawk braid (thanks @abrahamjosephr 🥰), but I LOVE this look. Someone told me it was giving “naughty librarian” vibes and I was down for that. It really does take a village to preform this transformation in a short amount of time, especially so early in the morning. I’m thankful for the makeup, hair and wardrobe departments at @generalhospitalabc for all of their hard work. You guys are the best. 💛 (swipe for a pic of how I roll into work before the sun is up)

The photo she instructed fans to swipe to was the one with her in a sweatshirt.

Fans were quick to compliment her variations, with one replying,

Many of Storms’s fans also loved that her sweatshirt had a logo for the Green Bay Packers football team. A long-time admirer lovingly reacted,

The fans truly adored the fact that her tied-up hairstyle had the braid that she often sported on General Hospital, as one responded,

Maxie’s braids are back. All is right in the world 🥰

The fans praised Storms for her look, considering her character Maxie is supposed to be a fashionista, and were happy to see her confidence brimming to the top, as one follower remarked,
