What to expect on General Hospital

After all these months of talk and no action, Sonny (Maurice Benard) is finally ready for his heart surgery with Carly (Laura Wright) right there by his side. He thought it would be Natalia (Eva LaRue), but that relationship turned out to be a bust, much to Brick's (Stephen A. Smith) relief.

Brick is pleased that Carly is in California with Sonny, but he still worries for Sonny's safety. Knowing the truth about Natalia has both Brick and Carly on high alert, but are they alert enough?

Deadbeat dad steps up

With Sonny and Carly out of town, Jason (Steve Burton) has the time to focus on his own family so he spends some quality time with Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) at the batting cages before Rocco (Finn Carr) arrives.

Danny opens up to Jason about missing his mom and Jason vows to be there for him, showing a change in Jason Morgan we never thought we'd see.

Sidwell's son

While Sidwell (Carlo Rota) uses his knowledge of Sonny's condition for nefarious means, his son learns his own professional fate. It looks like Sidwell's talk with Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) did some good as Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) and Alexis call Marco (Adrian Anchondo) in to talk business.

Alexis' daughter also has a big day when she gives a stern warning to her father before making a shocking discovery that Alexis will need to explain.

Lulu's dilemma

When Lucas (Van Hansis) stops by her new house, Lulu (Alexa Havins) starts questioning him about adoption. Lucas admits he is glad he got to know Julian (William deVry) before he died, despite the kind of person he was. (Come on, we all loved hapless mobster Julian.)

This gives Lulu some food for thought as she tries to decide whether to tell Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) that he has a son out there — and "out there" might even mean in the same house.

When Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) sits with Cody (Josh Kelly) at GH, he seems to let it slip that he had an interesting coversation with Lulu. Will Brook Lynn figure out that Lulu knows more than she should?
