It's been well over a month since Portia (Brook Kerr) learned that Sam (Kelly Monaco) died from an overdose of Digitalis and not from a natural heart attack. It's also been about two weeks since Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) was pretty much able to prove that the Digitalis deaths have not been accidents.

Finally, Portia gets around to telling Sam's family how she really died. Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Molly (Kristen Vaganos) sit there in shock when Portia tells them it wasn't hospital negligence that led to the overdose.

Alexis had finally found herself on an even keel after such profound grief. Will knowing the truth set her on a downward spiral, or will she be the one to finally catch Cyrus (Jeff Kober)? When a mother learns their child was murdered, there is no telling what she might do.

Chase gets bad news

Chase (Josh Swickard) is with Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), having a friendly and encouraging chat when he gets a notification on his phone that the results of his fertility tests are in. Since Willow is a medical professional, he asks her to interpret the results.

Chase can tell by the look on Willow's face that the news is not good. It is up to Willow to tell Chase that he is why Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) isn't pregnant yet. Brook Lynn has been convinced that she has secondary infertility after giving birth as a teenager, while Chase was sure there was no problem at all. How will Chase and Brook Lynn navigate this possible unexpected challenge?

Can Lulu tell the truth?

Lulu (Alexa Havins) entered her coma, trying to tell Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) she was still in love with him. Nothing has changed in four years for Lulu, but a lot has changed for Dante. He fell in love with Sam, and they created a life together with their children. Now she is gone, and Dante is still grieving her.

Laura (Genie Francis) can tell that Lulu's feelings for Dante haven't died, but she is afraid to tell him how she feels. She is not sure she wants to burden him so soon after Sam's death, but is she also deathly afraid of rejection?
