General Hospital spoilers, March 14: Sonny makes a shocking confession

What to expect on General Hospital

Sonny (Maurice Benard) has made himself right at home at Valentin's (James Patrick Stuart) old house and has been laying low. He is supposed to be taking care of himself in preparation for heart surgery but his family doesn't know that.

When Kristina (Kate Mansi) and Rocco (Finn Carr) visit, Kristina can tell something is wrong and demands answers. Does she send Rocco from the room so she can question her dad about why he gave up on full custody of Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola) without a court fight? Perhaps Sonny will tell her that he has a heart condition that needs to be dealt with and he didn't want a long drawn-out court battle.

Perhaps Sonny has something else to confess that will stun not only Kristina, but the audience.

Birthday fun for Trina

It's Trina's (Tabyana Ali) birthday and it looks like it falls on the night of a big event at the Jerome Gallery. Ava (Maura West) has everything ready for a celebration and welcomes her guests, including Portia (Brook Kerr). The women decide they need to do something to stop Drew (Cameron Mathison).

Meanwhile, Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) wants to be Trina's date for the big party, but she seems hesitant. He asks her what he could do so she would say they are on an official date. What will Trina tell him?

Gio (Giovanni Mazza) and Emma (Braedyn Bruener) also grow closer with Gio telling Emma that he sometimes wondrs who the real Emma is.

Spencer family surprises

Lulu (Alexa Havins) is thrilled to have Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) home and can't wait to tell the entire family the good news. She makes a phone call and tells someone they need to get over there right away to see their surprise.

And finally, Carly (Laura Wright) and Jack (Chris McKenna) spend some alone time together in his Metro Court room. Did Carly rethink her stance on not being with Jack after her chat with Maxie (Kirsten Storms)? She looks like she is ready to make a commitment — or at least Carly's version of a commitment. Is this the start of something new?
