Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) had just had an emotional talk with his father and poured himself a drink when there was a sudden flash of light and then an explosion. Michael was immediately flung into the air and landed in a pile of flames.

Jason (Steve Burton) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) hear the explosion from the hallway and rush into the apartment to find Michael literally on fire and begging for help. Sonny wants to do anything to save his son, but Jason pulls Sonny out of the apartment. The flames are just too much.

Does Jason go back in on his own to save the boy he raised during his first year of life? Jason is the man who gave Michael his name and loved him like a son, just as Sonny and his brother AJ did. Michael was at his lowest point when the explosion happened, thinking about his failed marriage and a custody fight ahead. Is this how it will end for Michael Corinthos? How will Carly (Laura Wright) react when she learns what happened to her precious baby boy?

Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Chase (Josh Swickard) have been trying to remain optimistic about their future as parents, but it's become more and more frustrating as each month goes by, and Brook Lynn isn't pregnant. They have decided to relax and not try as hard, but it hasn't been easy.

Chase confides his feelings in his old pal Sasha (Sofia Mattsson), who he doesn't know is pregnant with Michael's child. The conversation makes Sasha feel awkward as she is pregnant by accident when Brook Lynn and Chase are meticulously planning a pregnancy that hasn't happened.

Meanwhile, Brook Lynn has her own revelation. Does she also confide in someone and come to a realization, or does she discover something shocking? It's clear that Brook Lynn has been pregnant before, as anvils about a previous pregnancy have been dropping for the last month. It's just unclear if Brook Lynn knows what really happened to the child. Perhaps he is living with the Quartermaines and plays a mean violin...
