For some odd reason, nobody at GH has bothered mentioning to Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) that her daughter didn't die of a natural heart attack after all. She died from an overdose of Digitalis. Well, it's the moment of truth for Portia (Brook Kerr) because she finally sits Sam's (Kelly Monaco) mother down to give her the shocking news.

Alexis can't believe her ears when Portia tells her that Sam was not only given the wrong drug, but she was given the wrong drug on purpose. That means someone murdered Sam. Portia tries to keep things calm, but Alexis doesn't know calm at a moment like this.

Alexis is left reeling and vows she will get to the bottom of what happened to Sam if it's the last thing she does. Perhaps she will even sue the hospital for withholding such information.

Carly and Brennan grow closer

Carly (Laura Wright) is having a better time in Germany than she imagined. She thought she would be alone trying to take care of Michael, but Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) showed up and is keeping Carly company.

On Tuesday, Carly is set to receive a warning. Is it from Brennan or is someone after Carly? This adventure in Germany could turn out to be much more interesting than the audience and Carly ever expected. Are Carly and her pal Jack about to embark on a new adventure?

Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) still has babies on the brain and discusses her first pregnancy with Lois (Rena Sofer). Brook Lynn's mom grows concerned that she might have forced her daughter to do something against her will when she had Brook Lynn give up her child for adoption. Does Brook Lynn even know where her child ended up?

However, that's not the only emotional talk Brook Lynn has. She is stunned when a devastated Chase (Josh Swickard) tells her that he is the reason she is not pregnant yet. Brook Lynn was sure she was the one with the problem, but it turned out to be her husband. How will the newlyweds deal with this news?
