General Hospital spoilers, January 2: Someone takes a shot at Valentin

What to expect on General Hospital

Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) is absolutely furious that Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) made his way to Prague and has a hard time believing that Lulu (Alexa Havins) didn't bring him with her as a setup. As Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) watches her parents argue with Dante caught in the middle, Valentin's prediction comes true.

He was sure that Dante led whoever was after him right to him. Valentin is proven correct when shots ring out, shattering the glass window of the cafe. Will Valentin be hit? Or even worse — will Charlotte be shot again after the incident with Anna (Finola Hughes) last year?

Will someone find Sonny?

Sonny (Maurice Benard) remains passed out in the boxing ring with nobody around to find him. He tries to call for help to no avail. However, it also appears someone is watching him on a grainy screen.

Is Sonny just on the gym's security cameras or is someone targeting Sonny outside the hospital? Dex (Evan Hofer) and Sam (Kelly Monaco) are both dead from heart attacks. Is Sonny's natural due to his aging body or is there foul play involved?

Michael's big surprise

Michael (Chad Duell) approaches Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) to discuss their one-night stand and whether she is ok with him telling Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) all about it. Sasha doesn't even want to think about that. Instead, she blurts out that she is pregnant and tells Michael that she has planned on leaving town.

What will Michael do about this new revelation? Surely, he can't let her take off with his child, but then what does that mean about custody of his other kids? Michael has quite a dilemma on his hands, but his life is about to become infinitely more complicated if that is even possible.

Alexis is amused

A desperate Ava (Maura West) decides to eat humble pie and beg Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) for the money she feels she is entitled to. Alexis knew this was coming as Marty (Michael E. Knight) informed her that Ace's windfall meant Ava would lose her divorce settlement.

Alexis takes great pleasure in listening to Ava beg for her money back. She has no intention of giving it to her but loves watching Ava squirm. Perhaps Ava needs to pray for some big art sales in the coming months.
