General Hospital spoilers, February 13: Sonny's eventful Port Charles homecoming

Sonny (Maurice Benard) is back from Los Angeles with a lot on his mind. He will need heart surgery in a few months, he still hasn't learned who blew up his penthouse, and he has a custody hearing coming up.

Upon his homecoming, Sonny meets with Jason (Steve Burton) about business. They are determined to find out who set that fire, but first things first.

Sonny also has words with one of his ex-wives. When Nina gives her ex-husband some food for thought, does she offer the same reasoning that Natalia did? Will she warn Sonny that a custody fight with Ava just isn't worth it after all these years? Sonny's heart isn't even in it (mainly due to being preoccupied with his heart) so maybe Nina can talk some sense into him.

Meanwhile, Ava (Maura West) is gearing up for a fight. Ric (Rick Hearst) is willing to be her lawyer pro bono, plus she knows he is on her side all the way, considering the status of their relationship. However, she is not happy when Ric seems to want to hide that status from Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst).

When Liz and Ric have a chat, Liz reassures Ric that she is being careful and not taking any risks that could get her in trouble with Cyrus (Jeff Kober). However, Ava does not like how close Liz and Ric are at all.

Chase (Josh Swickard) also questions Elizabeth and asks her if she saw Jason assault Cyrus. Elizabeth will have to tell Chase exactly what she witnessed. Will she also tell him that she and Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) have been investigating Cyrus on their own? Chase and Anna (Finola Hughes) are getting a little tired of amateur hour.

A time for peace?

Cody (Josh Kelly) once again has to swallow his pride and apologize, but who does he issue his apology to? Does he tell Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) he is sorry for the way he acted at the Port Charles Grille? He keeps putting his foot in his mouth, but he cares about Sasha too much not to want to protect her.

Perhaps he apologizes to Molly (Kristen Vaganos) for the way he talks to her every time she tries to help him. Molly is definitely annoyed by someone, and it could very well be Cody.
