General Hospital spoilers, December 16: The Granny Wars begin again

What to expect on General Hospital

It seemed that Carly (Laura Wright) and Nina's (Cynthia Watros) battles over their mutual grandchildren had come to an end in 2024. Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) warmed up to Nina again, and Carly chose to focus on other things and let her hatred for Nina simmer in the background. Now, Carly knows that Willow slept with Drew (Cameron Mathison) and isn't about to let Willow have Michael's (Chad Duell) children.

It doesn't matter to Carly that the children also belong to Willow; it just matters that they are her grandchildren. Carly warns Nina and Willow that they cannot leave the Quartermaine grounds with Wiley and Amelia, but Willow stands her ground and tells Carly this isn't up to her. Nina is right there behind Willow, ready to fight Carly with everything she has as the battle lines are drawn.

Josslyn's heartache

The last thing Josslyn (Eden McCoy) expected when she stopped by the hospital to visit Dex (Evan Hofer) was to find him crashing. When Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) told her that Dex was dead, she could barely believe her ears.

A devastated Josslyn (Eden McCoy) heads to the footbridge to clear her mind. There, she runs into Jason (Steve Burton) and tells him everything that happened. Jason tries to support Josslyn, but she insists that nothing will ever be the same again.

Over at the hospital, Dex's death comes under scrutiny. Since both Dex and Sam (Kelly Monaco) were under Elizabeth's (Rebecca Herbst) nursing care when they died, Portia (Brook Kerr) has no choice but to stop Liz from seeing patients while GH investigates. Liz is forced to weigh her options after a long talk with her friend/boss.

Lulu's determination

Lulu (Alexa Havins) is not going to rest until she has Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) back with her in Port Charles. She fears she will never see her daughter again if Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) remains missing any longer.

She is also set to have another touching reunion. Will Lulu and Anna (Finola Hughes) finally be in the same room so they can put their heads together? How would Lulu feel if she learned that Anna was the one who allowed Valentin to get away and told him to take Charlotte with him?
