General Hospital spoilers, April 9: Alexis is about to get the shock of her life

What to expect on General Hospital

Kristina (Kate Mansi) told Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) that her main reason for not confessing to cutting the brakes on Ric's (Rick Hearst) car was to protect Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) from more heartache. However, Ava is taking care of that for her. Heartache is exactly what Ava serves up when she tells Alexis that Kristina tried to kill her but almost killed Ric and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) instead.

Alexis is absolutely stunned and wonders why good things can never last. She was finally feeling optimistic about the future and was thrilled that her girls were getting along again. Then, along comes Ava to burst her bubble.

Ava wants money that she feels entitled to, and Alexis is in a position to give it to her. Will Alexis cave and hand over some of that Cassadine cash?

Meanwhile, Kristina visits her father and tells him she has a confession to make. Since she is smiling, something tells us she is not about to confess to the attempted murder of Sonny's (Maurice Benard) brother.

Lulu's dilemma

After telling Cody (Josh Kelly) that she tricked him into confirming that Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) were once involved, Cody is furious with Lulu (Alexa Havns) and wants to know why Brook Lynn and Dante's relationship hurts her so much. Does Lulu tell Cody that she is still in love with Dante?

As for Brook Lynn, she has a talk with Lois (Rena Sofer) and seems close to wanting to tell Dante that she had his child all those years ago. Will Lois try to stop her? If Brook Lynn does reveal her secret, it's only a matter of time until Gio (Giovanni Mazza) learns his true identity.

Curtis has a warning

Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Laura (Genie Francis) sit down for a meal at the Metro Court, where Curtis tells the mayor that he has some bad news. Does it have anything to do with the Esplanade project and the use of Sonny's pier?

Sidwell (Carlo Rota) wants that pier for himself. When he extends a job offer, is he looking for a way to take Sonny's territory? Maybe he just wants his son, Marco (Adrian Anchondo), as his lawyer.
