General Hospital’s Tabyana Ali celebrates her third anniversary as Trina

Taking over the General Hospital role of Trina from Sydney Mikayla in 2022, Tabyana Ali has gone on to be in several major frontburner stories. In such a short time since, Trina’s gone through quite a lot, including learning that Taggert (Réal Andrews) was not actually her biological father and the loss of her boyfriend, Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez). Ali’s put in a lot of hard work and recently celebrated her three years on the soap.

She showed off her wacky side

On Instagram, Ali wrote, “To celebrate 3 years at @generalhospitalabc here's another Instagram dump. Happy Anniversary🩷🥹. The first picture is when I was screen testing for GH!” She included several photos and videos in which she was particularly clowning around behind the scenes.

The first photo was what she described, and the first video was her dancing around with co-star Vernee Watson (Aunt Stella) in the background shaking her head in disbelief. The second video had what appeared to be Eden McCoy (Josslyn) from the back as she was getting food in the commissary. Ali is secretly behind her, dancing super close with McCoy hilariously oblivious. Ali looked like she was almost going to fall over backward.

Then we have a video of her GH photo shoot, followed by her being intrigued by an actress having flesh prosthetics applied to her face and neck. Ali touches the woman’s neck and says, “You’ve got a gizzard.” The woman responded, “Don’t make me laugh,” as Ali then has a horrified look on her face at the realistic appliances.

Then we’re treated to a video of the show’s 60th anniversary photo shoot with Ali and Chavez positioning themselves around the giant numbers six and zero. After that, Ali, McCoy, and Evan Hofer (ex-Dex) are dancing around trying to make an actress laugh. We then get a hallway shot of Ali in a beautiful gown followed by photos of her and McCoy from what looks like Halloween, posted on a wall. (Rewind to when Ali celebrated her second anniversary.)

She’s a tricky trickster

Then, in perhaps the most hilarious video clip, McCoy is seated in the hair department with someone filming her, and Ali comes running in with Hofer on her back, and the camera person tells McCoy, “We’re gonna have to redo this one.” That’s followed by several more photos and videos of Ali showing off some fabulous outfits behind the scenes.

In another hilarious video, she’s taking a video of herself with her on-screen parents, Brook Kerr (Portia) and Donnell Turner (Curtis). It becomes evident after a while that she’s taking a video instead of a pic because Kerr gets impatient from holding her smile a long time and finally yells, “Are you taking it?”

Co-star Sawandi Wilson (Isaiah) responded with, “🙌🏾👏🏾👏🏾🫡,” while McCoy shared, “CHAOS AND LAUGHTER AND TEARS AND GROWTH LOVE YOU 🧡💛🧡💛🧡💛🧡💛.” Even the much missed Hofer chimed in with, “I ❤️ you so!”
