General Hospital's Tabyana Ali celebrates the big 2-3 with some very special guests

General Hospital star Tabyana Ali doesn't turn 23 until January 28th, but she enjoyed a weekend pre-birthday celebration full of Los Angeles style, food, and fun.

A big night for General Hospital's Tabyana Ali

Ali took to Instagram to share snaps and videos from her big party, writing: "Birthday on the 28th but turning 23 means I’m officially in my 'I’ll have a glass of wine’ phase.'"

Multiple co-stars wished Ali a happy birthday, including Sofia Mattsson (Sasha Corbin) and Katelyn MacMullen (Willow Corinthos). Rick Hearst (Ric Lansing) also had a special message for the young actress.

"That’s the way to celebrate!" Lansing commented. "You always do things so full of heart whether it’s for others or yourself. Happy birthday, Tabi!"

Ali's photos featured a few GH co-stars, both past and present. Eagle-eyed fans can spot Evan Hofer (ex-Dex Heller) and Avery Kristen Pohl (ex-Esme Prince). Ali's new on-screen love interest, Jens Austin Astrup (Kai Taylor), also celebrated with Ali.

A big year for Trina Robinson

At this time last year, Ali's Trina was about to go through the hardest time in her life. After arriving in Paris for a semester of study with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) by her side, Trina's dreams turned into a nightmare when Esme caught up with them and attacked Spencer and Trina on a riverboat. Esme and Spencer fell into the Seine to their alleged deaths while Trina had to struggle to go on.

Trina mourned for months and even took time off from school. She finally chose to get back into life this fall and met Kai Taylor, a football star whose recent injury ended his career before it even got started. Trina will be there to support Kai as he processes the news. Kai's injury could help usher in a new era for Trina and aspect to Kai and Trina's relationship.

In real life, Ali also had a big year. In a personal op-ed piece in Deadline in July, Ali bravely opened up about the social media racism and online trolling she has experienced since joining the cast of GH.

In September, Ali's feature film, Empire Waist, was released in theaters across the country and made its digital streaming debut in October. A movie about body positivity in young girls, Empire Waist features Ali as Honor.
