Once again, General Hospital star Steve Burton took to social media to impart words of wisdom about life. His character, Jason Morgan, has recently been through an ordeal with the rest of Port Charles when his former love, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), died after donating part of her liver to Lulu Falconeri (Alexa Havins). His most recent post reflects something that was important in the storyline, and fans should take heed.
Time flies, but leaves its shadow behind
Steve Burton explained that one of our most valuable commodities is time. He wrote on Instagram:

Where are you wasting time? We all waste time… until we don’t…or until there’s no time left. The 2 greatest assets are time and energy. We can create more energy, but we can’t create more time.. so where you can you be better with your time?
Time is the most valuable thing like @linkinpark says ..because t’s limited.
Don’t take it for granted.
Don’t waste it.
Live now.
Be present.
1 life don’t settle. Love you guys.
Along with his text was a video of him explaining his thoughts in a little more detail. He explained that he had just come from a workout, which gave him:
Time to think about what I can do better, and one of the things I always look at is where I’m spending my time. Where are you spending your time, or are you wasting time? Look, we all waste time until we don’t or until there’s no time left. You know, two of the…greatest assets are time and energy.
Burton further explained that a workout, breathing work, or even a cold plunge can give a person more energy. However, he added:
But we cannot create more time. Time is the most valuable thing.
He stated that because time is limited, it makes it extremely valuable to us. He again asked how people spend their time or if they’re wasting it and concluded with sage words of advice:
Do not take time for granted. Do not waste it. Live now. Live presently. One life. Don’t settle.
@torileesbeautymix appreciated Burton’s words and responded:
Always love your inspiration! 🫶🏻
@patsygallardo, who has been living what Burton was preaching, wrote:
So true Steve I reflect each night before prayer 🙏. Did I use my time wisely? If not what can I change for a better tomorrow. It sometimes something so small that I missed it. Another great one 👍.
And one fan, @sunnysurfside, understood Burton’s message completely, writing:
So very true and so easily forgotten in the business we get caught up in. Great message and reminder!!! Many thanks!!
