On General Hospital, Steve Burton’s lethal enforcer Jason Morgan is not one to be reckoned with. But while Jason has a soft spot for his family and friends, Burton is also a big old softie at heart. He recently shared photos from a trip to New York City with his new love, recipe creator Michelle Lundstrom.

Fans were happy for the couple

Burton posted a slide show of pictures on Instagram, set to the tune of Frank Sinatra’s classic song "Theme from New York, New York," which originated on the soundtrack of Martin Scorsese’s 1977 film New York, New York. The photos showed Burton and Lundstrom enjoying everything the iconic city has to offer, from tasty treats like ice cream, pizza, and coffee to catching some of the amazing sights. Overlaid on the photo montage was the title, “Unforgettable NYC moments.”

He captioned the montage:

New York, New York! You know, I love the East Coast. In my career, I would always come to New York for a day or two here and there. Blessed to win my first Emmy here at the Radio City Music Hall. But it was always an elusive city for me. I never really got to experience it until the @themoneymichelle ❤️. The best.

Burton also explained the many fun things to do and see in The City That Never Sleeps:

Just to walk the streets of the city is something special. Central Park. The coolest. Broadway. A must. The food. Nowhere better. if you haven’t spent time here in New York City. Put it on the bucket list.

Finally, he asked his followers:

What’s your favorite part of New York City?

The fans enjoyed seeing the happy couple together, and Lundstrom posted the reply:

The best ❤️.

@beautyby_karol responded to Lundstrom with:

@themoneymichelle haven’t seen Steve so happy ever until now Michelle!! It’s all you ❤️.

Laura Wright, who plays Carly Spencer on General Hospital, eagerly responded,

Love you guys !!!!

And Lundstrom replied to that with a heart emoji. The fans were truly touched by seeing the couple enjoy life in the big city, even if it was for just a vacation. Many encouraged Burton and Lundstrom to move there, while others shared what they love about NYC.

Another fan, Smoore9x, wrote,

Looks like a lot of fun!! Good for you❤️ I someday want to see New York at Christmas time😂

@anita.s.a.1, longing for Jason Morgan to finally have a love interest, set her sights vicariously through Burton’s real-life romance with:

I ❤️ NYC! And yay for the romance/ love interest for Steve that we don’t get on the show! 😊

All of the fans swooned over Burton and Lundstrom, with @bnharriett encapsulating what all of the followers were feeling:

Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos beautiful enjoy [and] have fun. God bless and enjoy your week.❤️❤️.

It's nice to see the actors enjoying their lives in their off-time, especially with all the drama they must deal with on General Hospital. Hopefully, there might be wedding bells in their future, giving fans a celebration to look forward to!
