Charles Measure has been chewing up the General Hospital scenery as WSB station chief John Brennan. After racking up quite the résumé between various TV shows and films, Mesure has increased his already large fan base on GH, becoming a beloved favorite. He also seems to have found a new friend in Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis) who shared some details about their time together outside the studio.
Mesure’s a talented guy
Grahn posted a selfie of her and Mesure on Instagram. Although Alexis is an alcoholic on General Hospital, Grahn is not, and she’s holding what appears to be a glass of wine while the two smile for the camera. She captioned it:
Stopped on way home to give my newest castmate Charles Mesure, some tips on how to best learn his lines. Being a prime timer it’s easy to see why he’s so intimidated by us Daytimers.

She also admitted that not all of their time was spent studying a script, and she learned an interesting fact about Mesure:
While not learning lines at all, I learned that he makes guitars. No, ridiculously insane guitars, builds all kinds of wooden furniture and is a seriously decent person. Your interest in him is merited. #gh @generalhospitalabc.
Her mention of “interest” refers to the fact that fans have quickly grown to love the spy who seemingly had nefarious intentions when he first appeared on the show and is still considered a dangerous man by Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers). Mesure has a wide range of interests including being an environmental activist, a humanitarian, a martial arts expert, a speaker of multiple languages, and a certified pilot.
He bears a passing resemblance to iconic actor Sylvester Stallone’s musician brother Frank Stallone, and Mesure also has major musical skills. According to his IMDb bio, he plays three types of guitars: acoustic, electric, and classical, as well as being able to sing as a tenor. This would explain his interest in building his own guitars, many of which he probably uses when he performs.
General Hospital fans love Mesure
Instagram fans swooned over his good looks and Australian accent, and one boldly stated,
I think it’s safe to say we ALL love Brennen! 🔥
@Gbland6977 spoke on behalf of the fans with the declaration:
I'm just in love with him on General Hospital. They did something good for a change.
Although it seems that Brennan is looking to romance Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), @samuelrafaelhosea shared their hopeful thoughts:
Hot new lover for Alexis yes/yes?
Brennan has yet to interact with Alexis, so there’s probably not going to be an on-screen romance anytime soon. However, Grahn indicated they did more than just talk shop outside of work, so there may be something brewing between the actors in real life. Only time will tell if there’s anything going on with these two fan favorites.
