General Hospital's Laura Wright shares her relaxing vacation

Things have been pretty tense lately for Carly on General Hospital. Not only is she trying to fight for her grandchildren while her son, Michael (Chad Duell), is recovering from severe burns in Germany, but she also managed to overcome polonium poisoning. She even recently found time to accompany Sonny (Maurice Benard) to his heart surgery in California. With all that going on, fans were happy to see that Carly’s portrayer, Laura Wright, took some time for herself to relax.

A Mexican dream vacation

Wright posted several photos and a few videos on Instagram, writing, “Spent 6 days at the @zadunreserve in San José del Cabo, Mexico with my girl @lalalauuureeeen and it was incredible!!!! From the view & plunge pool to the amazing meals and daily chocolate croissants - and the whales showed up for us a few times!!! This is the most beautiful resort. They truly take care of you -- we can’t wait to go back!!!”

@lalalauuureeeen is, of course, her daughter Lauren, and the post was tagged as being in Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve. The pics began with Wright enjoying some coffee while looking out over a majestic ocean view, followed by a shot from her lounge chair, casually soaking in the sun’s rays. The next video expanded on the lounge chairs’ location, which included an inviting swimming pool.

The subsequent pics were of Wright, Lauren, the two of them at the airport, a basket with what is most likely a chocolate croissant in it, and a video of a whale jumping about and enjoying itself out in the ocean. Her daughter reacted to the post with, “😍😍😍,” while co-star Steve Burton’s (Jason) girlfriend Michelle Lundstrom responded, “Love it all❤️🔥👏.”

Follower @mandikinninger replied, “You had me at whales and chocolate croissants 😆 Glad you had so much fun!” Another fan, @teriwatts, wrote, “Nothing better than mother/daughter time. ❤️❤️,” to which the General Hospital star replied, “@teriwatts the best.” @amelia.rose.22 was inspired by Wright’s post and wrote, “Mom goals! Can’t wait to vacation with my adult daughter! (She turns 18 next Saturday!) Looks like an amazing trip!”

@devenmarierose0713 was happy for the General Hospital star and commented, “So nice that you and your daughter enjoy your “girl” time together. ❤️🙌👏.” And one fan whose Instagram handle, @guidinglightgirl, showed that they remembered Wright when she played Cassie on Guiding Light, reacted, “Looks like you guys had so much fun! 🌊.”
