General Hospital’s Laura Wright, who plays Carly Spencer, has a great many ardent fans on social media. @TeekeeTweets posted a clip from a recent episode in which Carly was having a conversation with WSB agent Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure), and he was flirting with her. The fan wrote on X, formerly Twitter:

Wright, loving the fan attention, felt the need to inform viewers of something going on in her life. She retweeted the post, writing,
So the next couple days, you will see me doing my best to hide my eye. I woke up with a broken blood vessel - it was CRAZY looking from the wrong angle haaa. Just ask Charlie !! Ha.

In the clip, Wright looked totally fine, with her eye issue barely perceptible. @kitsunegari1186 felt the same way, responding,
I couldn't even tell. Enjoyed the scene with Carly and Jack too much lol. Glad you're feeling better.

While many couldn’t tell there was anything wrong with her eye, observant fans noticed it blinking a bit more than usual. Another follower going by @cheriann11 thought it was a makeup error, writing,
Oh I did see something but I thought it was the way your makeup turned out was really no big deal!
Overall, the fans wished Wright a speedy recovery for her hurting eyeball. Many also love the pairing of Carly and Brennan, and they hoped the John Cates (Adam J. Harrington) murder would be resolved quickly so the show could devote more time to the budding couple.

Lake was a silver screen legend who was famous for her long hair that hung over one eye. She was so popular that women everywhere imitated her hairstyle. However, many women who worked in factories during World War II found that not only did having to push the hair out of their face waste time, but it also would often get caught in the machines they were using. Lake even had to make a couple of PSAs to inform women that they needed to adopt a more feasible hairstyle.
Thankfully, Wright wears her hair over one eye sometimes, but it’s not so long that it would get caught in any machinery! The General Hospital fans are eager to see where Carly and Brennan's relationship goes, and whether or not her protecting her ex-husband Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard)—by being his alibi when Cates was killed—would affect any chance she might have with the WSB agent.
