Just a few short months ago, General Hospital's Josslyn was still trying to figure out what she wanted to do with her life. She'd given up on being a doctor and had switched majors to environmental science because she wanted to make a difference in the world, but her heart just wasn't in it. Then, Jack Brennan came along.

Josslyn had no idea that killing Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) was a one-way ticket into the WSB, the fictional international spy agency that has been dominating GH stories for more than 40 years. But, Jack was testing Joss to see if she had what it takes to solve a crime and then take matters into her own hands.

That's exactly what she did when she tracked down Cyrus and shot him before he came at her with an ax. Not even 24 hours later, Josslyn agreed to become a WSB trainee because she felt that job could finally help her make the difference she'd been craving. After growing up with a mobster as a stepfather, Josslyn wanted to be on the right side of the law. She'll soon figure out that's not always how the WSB operates.

GH fans watched Eden McCoy's Josslyn grow up before our eyes. She began playing Joss at just 11 years old in 2015 and has taken the character from pre-teen to grown woman over the last decade. As Josslyn grew up, so did McCoy, but now her character's life is taking a turn she doesn't recognize.

"I’m doing a lot of my own research, and I haven’t really had an opportunity to learn so many other things for a part," McCoy told Soap Opera Digest. "Especially on General Hospital, because my character’s been written so close to my personal life, strangely enough. Now, it’s like an entire new world that Eden would have absolutely zero concept or idea of."

However, she understands her character's motivations for making such a change in her life.

"She has gone from wanting to be a doctor to not wanting to be a doctor, to wanting to be an environmental scientist, and the character of Brennan was brilliant in [selling her on joining the WSB] because he knows that," McCoy explained. "He knows where she’s at in life, and he framed joining the WSB as a real career that makes an actual difference in people’s lives and in the safety of the world. I think that was brilliant because it plays to Josslyn’s insecurity about having no idea what she wants to do and feeling so lost."

Josslyn is about to re-enter her Port Charles University life with a secret identity. She can't tell Trina (Tabyana Ali) what she is up to, but will Trina catch on to the fact that her best friend is hiding something massive that could change both of their lives forever?
