While General Hospital’s Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) always has fun with his castmate and good friend Steve Burton (Jason) — whether on the show, on their podcast, or when they tour with their live comedy performances — he recently found fun with another castmate, Josh Kelly (Cody). Anderson took time to discuss the fundraiser that he and Kelly hosted, as well as fondly remember Leslie Charleson, who played Monica Quartermaine for 47 years.

He loved Burton and Charleson’s connection

General Hospital’s Bradford Anderson spoke to Michael Fairman TV about several topics, including the fundraiser Daytime Makes a Difference, which helped victims of the Los Angeles Wildfire. Of his co-host Kelly, Anderson remarked, “I’ve known Josh for a short time, but we really enjoy each other. We’ve done a couple events together including at Graceland, and he’s just so lovable that guy.”

He also noted that Kelly is such a great guy, as illustrated by the sign-in book he keeps in his dressing room. “On GH, if you’re not on contract, and working as an actor,” Anderson began, continuing, “you get assigned a dressing room for the day. So, if you’re assigned Josh’s room (because he is not working that day), the sign-in book says, ‘First of all, congratulations, you’re on a TV show today. Be very proud of yourself. There’s sparkling water in the fridge. Enjoy this day. If you want to leave a remembrance or tell me who was in my room, I would love to hear from you.’” Anderson further praised Kelly’s efforts to put a potentially new actor’s mind at ease with the sign-in book that shows he understands what it’s like to be new and nervous.

Anderson was also asked about Charleson, who died at age 79, stating, “She’ll be missed. But, the cool thing is that there’s so much happening [...] in the main Quartermaine house again. It’s a shame that she can’t be there.” Anderson and Burton’s podcast is called Daily Drama and was originally called That’s Awesome! In that first iteration, Charleson was a guest, and Anderson fondly recalled, “The thing that I remember the most is when we sat down with her for those two hours on the podcast, and she said, ‘Steve, go to your room.’ That was my favorite thing she’s ever said. No one can put Steve in his place like Leslie could. Steve and Leslie had such a connection.”
