General Hospital newcomer Chris McKenna shares peek into his family life

On General Hospital, the WSB has set up a field office in Port Charles, with Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) at the helm. It's something of a demotion for him; he’s quite happy being in the city because of his attraction to Carly Spencer (Laura Wright). While he did share one story from his past with her, he continues to remain an international man of mystery. However, in real life, McKenna is an open book and shares details of his personal life with his fans on social media.

Simply adorable

General Hospital’s Chris McKenna shared some adorable pics on Instagram, captioning them, “Family Park Days are unbeaten #Park #Family #picnic #love.” In them, we see McKenna playing with his baby Spencer, who was born in July 2024. His third pic also includes his wife, Lovisa Jansson, and their cute baby. The couple were married in May 2022, and have enjoyed wedded bliss ever since.

His followers collectively agreed that baby Spencer was adorable. @leslieamoros responded, “Pure joy! So happy for all of you! 😍.” One fan, @thamesv55, who recalled McKenna’s soap opera roots, responded, “Beautiful family! Love seeing you with your ‘Real Family!’ From an old-time One Life to Live fan! Now a longer time, original General Hospital Fan!" Welcome to GH.”

While @cassmarie3131 commented, “Precious moments to cherish,” @lori_pink426 wrote, “You want to just bottle them [up] and save them forever ❤️.” Whether the fan meant to bottle up the precious moments or the cute kids as babies is unclear, but the loving sentiment was nonetheless evident. Another comment by @brandybailey1369, which was something echoed by many of his fans, was, “Boy look at that Smile…y’all make a beautiful family!!!”

Co-star Wright had originally welcomed McKenna to General Hospital on X, formerly Twitter, where she also bid adieu to Brennan’s previous portrayer, Charles Mesure. She wrote, “Big love to Charles !!! And a Big Welcome to Chris McKenna !!!! And a Big hug to all the fans - we love you so much and we are so grateful for you all !!!!! #GHBaby !!!”

Now that Brennan is attempting to recruit Carly’s daughter Josslyn (Eden McCoy) for the WSB, Wright may have a spy in her family. Carly and Brennan are having a slow start to their relationship for good reason: she’s become cautious about simply jumping into a new romance without testing the waters first. Who knows, maybe Carly will jump into the espionage game. Stranger things have happened before…
